Are you a young African women aged 18-25 years old and live in Melbourne's West? We want you to join our new Young African Women's program.

We’re looking for African Women between the ages of 18-25 years old who live in Melbourne’s West. To join us for our new Young African Women's Program!

Dates: 27/04/24, 04/05/24, 11/05/24, 18/05/24.

Time: 1:30pm-3:30pm

Where: Djerring Flemington Hub

Who: Young African women aged 18-25

This program offers a safe space to explore:

  • Leadership
  • Mental and sexual health
  • Wellbeing and healthy relationships
  • Employment opportunities, including resume writing tips and connections with local youth mentoring career pathways programs.

Over 4 weeks, our aim is to empower young African women to make informed decisions about their sexual health, wellbeing and connection to the community.

The program will have activities such as fitness classes with Ultimate Female Fitness, trivia with prizes, free goodies and more! Food will also be provided.

This program is free of cost.

Week 1: Healthy relationships and healthy wellbeing with Feriyal, a Naturopath.

Week 2: Mental Health with Tigist, a Mental Health practitioner, and a fitness class activity.

Week 3: Employment with Maribyrnong and Moonee Valley Local Learning and Employment Network (MMVLLEN).

Week 4: Sexual and Reproductive health, including contraception and menstrual health + Trivia to end the program!.
