Family violence service referrals

To make a referral to our family violence support service, please visit the Orange Door website and contact the service nearest you.

GenWest's family violence intake service is now located at the Orange Door alongside family and child services, Aboriginal health services and services for men who use violence.

The Orange Door is a free service and welcomes everyone welcomes people of any age, gender, sex, sexuality, culture, religion, ability and regardless of migration status. Workers can organise an interpreter.

Children’s and Youth Counselling referrals

To make a referral to GenWest’s Children’s and Youth Counselling service, please download the form (Word document) below and send it via email to counselling@genwest.org.au.

If you have any enquiries related to the counselling service, please email counselling@genwest.org.au.

Crisis Accommodation

Referrals for crisis accommodation are received via Safe Steps.

If you are working with a client and wish to refer them to crisis accommodation, please contact Safe Steps on 1800 015 188, to discuss whether a refuge is suitable for their circumstances.

After Hours Support

GenWest also provides family violence crisis support after hours, we take referrals for this service through Safe Steps, who can be contacted on 1800 015 188.
