We are seeking an experienced Family Violence Practitioner to step into a Team Leader role within The Orange Door Werribee team! The salary for this role is a SHADS Level 7 (between $104,866.32 to $109,253.04 plus superannuation).
GenWest (formerly Women’s Health West) is a family violence support service. We deliver programs that support communities to lead safe and healthy lives. We support people based in Melbourne’s west.
The Orange Door service brings together different practices and services, providing a consolidated intake point and whole of family approach. Key aims include increasing the safety and wellbeing of family violence victim survivors and holding perpetrators accountable for their behaviour. Specialised training and the opportunity to upskill will be provided.
About the role
We are seeking a Specialist Family Violence Team Leader to lead this new and growing team of skilled professionals.
The role will report directly to the Family Violence Home Agency Manager, working closely with The Orange Door Team Leaders, Specialist Family Violence Senior Practitioners and Practitioners to manage the day-to-day coordination and oversight of a specialist family violence team. This will include:
- Recruit, train, coach and mentor new and existing staff across the employee lifecycle.
- Professionally represent GenWest whilst working within a diverse service matrix management model.
- Collaborate with other service partners and provide specialist family violence knowledge.
- Oversee service quality delivery adhering to various policies and procedures.
- Champion, drive and enact GenWest’s organizational purpose, mission, values and culture.
The Team Leader position is available on either a full time or 0.9 EFT basis and paid at GenWest EA Level 7 pay point negotiable dependent on experience (ranges from $104,866.32 - $109,253.04) pro rata EFT + 10% superannuation.

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to step into our newly created Procurement & Contract Lead role! The salary for this role is a SHADS Level 6.3 to 7.3 (between $96,962.32 to $109,253.04 plus superannuation). This role can be performed full-time or 0.9.
The Procurement & Contract Lead sits within the finance team and is responsible for supporting leadership to achieve organisational strategic goals including financial sustainability, financial risk management, compliance with legal requirements and procurement & contract management.
The purpose of the Procurement & Contract Lead position is to manage the effective and efficient delivery of support services to the wider organisation in delivering its strategic and operational objectives, goals, and targets via the application of procurement & contract strategy and operational best practices. As our Procurement & Contract Lead the ability to partner and lead through communities of practice and external partnership is key to success in this role.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, this position is responsible for:
- Management of procurement requisitions, purchase order, invoicing, and closeout.
- Generating standard reporting across the procurement function.
- Undertake approach to markets for procurement including identify vendors, issue Request for Quotations/Proposals/Tender (RFQ/PT), analysis of vendor responses, contract award and post award management.
- Develop, review, and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Manage change orders, claims, and other contract related issues.
- Respond to inquiries and resolve problems concerning contracts, projects, and services.
- Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and leadership, with knowledge of legal and commercial terminology.
- Ability to develop and leverage strong third-party relationships to identify savings and opportunities for GenWest.
- Contribute to the development and achievement of team and organisational goals through regular supervision and participation in professional development activities.
- Contribute to processes that ensure collaboration and integration across and between GenWest programs and services to achieve organisational goals and objectives.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- At least five years experience in contract management, sourcing, or a similar procurement role.
- A tertiary qualification, Bachelor of Business or diploma with industry experience is highly desired.
- Sound understanding of procurement and contract principles and business financials.
- Capability to author high quality procurement plans, business reports and other decision-making documents.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to liaise with a diverse range of people including GenWest staff, retail suppliers and other external service representatives.
- Highly developed time management and work prioritisation skills with an ability to work.

We are seeking a Family Violence Practitioner to step into our new Entry Point team! The salary for this role is a SHADS Level 5 (between $88,761.92 to $92,773.20 plus superannuation).
The new Entry Point team has been created to receive case management referrals from the Orange Door, self-referrals to GenWest, or secondary consultations from other community services.
The Entry Point team will provide case management services with a brief intervention focus (less than 8-10 hours). This may include providing interim case management services to someone who requires longer term support whilst waiting to be allocated the Case Management team
The Entry Point will also coordinate Information Sharing requests, and subpoenas responses while working with the Crisis Response team, Case Management team and RAMP team to ensure effective internal referral that is focused on clients’ risk profile.
The service provides trauma informed responses to victim survivors through strengths-based case management including family violence information, safe planning review, referral to other services, and supporting the victim survivor to develop a pathway to recovery.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Utilise the MARAM framework to conduct comprehensive risk assessments, needs assessment, and safety planning for victim survivors.
- Working collaboratively with external services utilising relevant information sharing legislation, to ensure quality of risk assessments and risk management practice.
- Provide brief case management including the capacity to hold a case load.
- Determine victim survivor eligibility criteria for the service, including exploring referral pathways, empowering victim survivors by providing them with information and advice in order for them to make informed choices.
- Engage in learning activities to support ongoing professional development.
- Be part of team who are rostered to provide Intake and Triage to clients who are requiring a service, via phone or face-to- face.

We are seeking an experienced social worker to step into our Outreach – Senior Case Manager role within our Outreach Team! The salary for this role is a SHADS Level 5 (between $88,761.92 to $92,773.20 plus superannuation).
We are seeking a several Senior Case Managers within our Outreach team, at both part-time and full-time basis. GenWest has a team of outreach Case Managers who work with women and children who are either experiencing an immediate family violence crisis or whose safety is at risk because of family violence. GenWest Case Managers work with women to develop safety strategies and case plans that include housing, legal, health and other assistance to support their long-term safety.
The Outreach Senior Case Manager reports to the Case Management Team Leader and is responsible for providing strengths based and client-focused case management support to women and their children experiencing family violence in the western metropolitan region. A primary focus of this position is to assess the immediate and ongoing risk of family violence to clients and work with them and other agencies to manage that risk. This is achieved through the provision of accessible intake services, undertaking comprehensive risk assessment, developing safety plans, case planning and review, and case closure.
The responsibilities of this role include:
- Provide short and medium-term case management support to women and their children experiencing family violence in the western metropolitan region in accordance with GenWest policy and procedures.
- Participate in the effective delivery of family violence outreach case management services by undertaking and completing administration, reporting and data collection in accordance with funding agreements, legislation or organisation policy and procedures.
- Provide support and secondary consultation and to other GenWest integrated family violence services staff and external service providers to ensure maximum collaboration and enhanced referral pathways.
- Contribute to the development and achievement of team and organisation goals through regular supervision and participation in professional development activities, whilst mentoring and supervising junior professionals.
- Contribute to processes that ensure collaboration and integration across and between GenWest programs and service to achieve organisational goals and objectives.

We are seeking an experienced human resources to step into our new Employee Relations Advisor role! This role will be available on a 0.8 to full-time basis on a SHADS Level 6 (between $96,962.32 and $101,250.24) plus superannuation and $15,990 salary sacrificing.
GenWest (formerly Women’s Health West) is a family violence support service. We deliver programs that support communities to lead safe and healthy lives. We support people based in Melbourne’s west. The Employee Relations Advisor role provides HR support to various site locations in the West including Footscray, Sunshine, Werribee and Brimbank.
You will be required to travel to the various locations and will be responsible for supporting line managers to provide client-focused HR support and advice, that aligns and adheres to organisational policies, procedures and legal requirements. This includes award interpretation, policy advice, employee grievance support, and performance management support. This is a 1 year fixed-term contract, reporting into and working alongside the Employee Relations Business Partner.
